Zoe is a director of a Small Supports company in Cornwall. They support people with different abilities to live in their own homes.
Zoe has always worked with people who experience distress by solving problems in exciting and unusual ways. Her work has spanned almost three decades and included NHS community teams, inpatient units and private social care.
She is passionate about reducing restrictive practices in favour of a recovery focused approach to each person’s Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework. This facilitates multi agency problem solving that holds the persons story rather than a label. Whilst developing a multi-disciplinary team in South Devon she realised that people often didn't need a long fancy report. What they really preferred was to feel safe and watch the TV in peace.
Zoe lives in South Devon in a damp cottage on the edge of Dartmoor and loves crochet, an unruly garden and her dogs.
