Gordon Waigand, Site Lead Community Led Support
Gordon joined the NDTi staff team in Summer 2022. He has over 30 years of Adult Social Care experience in the public sector both in Germany and England.
Gordon held roles in Local Government ranging across Learning Disabilities and Preparing for Adulthood to Adults Services. This was in both operational and development roles leading transformation and personalisation.
Gordon had his first connections with NDTi as an implementation and transformation lead for Community Lead Support for his local authority back in 2016.
The experiences and impact the programme made to the citizens, community partners, local authority and staff groups drove his decision to join the NDTi full time.
Gordon’s social care focus has always been to give citizens the best life they can have and shape.
Gordon is passionate about challenging service culture and created, joined and led focus groups through coproduction, improving the lives of citizens and communities.
Carers' agenda and assisted technology are two area’s Gordon has a great passion for and has seen their positive impacts both personally and professionally.
