Change that leads to better lives

Bury Council have asked us to help them to find out what matters to people with learning disabilities in Bury

Bury Council want to make sure that people with learning disabilities have access to opportunities that will help them grow and live their best lives with positive links to their community, so they have asked us to help them find out what matters.

We'd love to hear from people with learning disabilities and the important people in their life about how they would like to spend their days.

Things people tell us will be anonymised and shared with Bury Council to inform them what day opportunities should look like to support people with learning disabilities to take part in activities they would like, when they would like - and with who they would like.

The survey below is one way of engaging with us; if you would like to engage in a different way, please contact: equallivesteam@ndti.org.uk

Survey: www.onecommunitybury.co.uk/learning-disability-day-services-in-bury

The engagement will be ongoing until the end of January. NDTi will then come to Bury in the New Year and have some fun events where people can tell us more in person.

On this page are downloads which explain who we are, what we are doing and how people can tell us what they think.

The other downloads are a postcard, a suggested activity that self-advocacy groups or other groups can use to gather views and a printable of the online survey at www.onecommunitybury.co.uk/learning-disability-day-services-in-bury

We would be grateful if you could spread the word about this work by letting people know we’d love to hear from them, tell people about the online survey, sharing this article with individuals and groups who have an interest and/or helping people tell us what they think.

If you would like any further information about this engagement – please do not hesitate to email us at equallivesteam@ndti.org.uk
