Dorothy Runnicles - the original pioneer

Dorothy Runnicles sadly passed away at the end of June 2021 at home surrounded by family and friends.

In her role as NDTi Ambassador, Dorothy often talked about us as pioneers, yet she was the truest pioneer of us all. Her insight, personal experiences, knowledge and humour set her apart as a unique changemaker in society, making lives better through her strong voice and commitment to inclusion.

As mentioned in her talking change interview with NDTi in 2018, Dorothy often spoke of the need for “a good life and a good end”. As an active NDTi ambassador at the age of 96, she was an inspiration to us all.
