We’ve just launched a brand new series of half day workshops on strengths-based approaches for anyone working in the social care and health sector.
The offer starts with a foundation workshop which focuses on supporting strengths-based conversations. There are also two additional workshops available which explore outcomes and planning support and strengths-based reviews in more depth.
The workshops are aimed at statutory organisations with responsibility for adult social care, health organisations, service providers, and community and voluntary organisations working alongside health and social care services.
Annie Smith, Community Led Support (CLS) Delivery Lead, is facilitating the workshops and said:
“We’ve been supporting a growing network of statutory organisations through the CLS network for almost nine years. These organisations join a vibrant network of sites across the UK to share learning, and they are supported by the CLS team to embed strengths-based approaches across the wider social care, health and communities’ system.
“As a result, we’ve had lots of support requests from areas that are not part of the CLS network. We are delighted that we can now offer these stand-alone workshops in response to these requests, and we hope that this offer will support a wider range of organisations to embed strengths-based approaches in their work.”
Jenny Pitts, Community Led Support Programme Lead, said:
“The Community Led Support team at NDTi has a wealth of experience in supporting social care and health organisations to embed strengths-based approaches that get the best outcomes for those they support. We have worked with over 30 local areas over the past eight years to successfully develop and deliver this way of working across the whole system. Our facilitators have a wide range of experience of this work in practice and can relate content to a range of service areas, bringing insight and depth to the discussion.”
