Mike Richardson, Community Led Support Site lead and data specialist, writes about some of the thinking behind our new Valuing Community Led Support report.

These teams working in partnership have provided excellent support for many people and one example, where they acted as ‘a team around’ the person, is used to demonstrate this.

Vic was seconded to lead the 'end to end' system review with the aim of delivering whole system change and the adoption of the CLS principles and practice.

Both Pip and Alison have and continue to provide support, insight and commitment to working together to shape the future under the Living Well work in Warrington.

Bob has recently joined Thurrock's Team as a Social Worker.  Despite lock down, he has proactively sought opportunities to engage with the community and has found a number of places where drop in sessions can be held.

The work of Jackie and Chris has been exceptional.  They are able to signpost but also provide information and advice.  They are the face of the community and have been able to build trusting relationships with people so that they are able to feel confident

Billie has proactively sought new opportunities to connect with individuals and communities.  This has included liaising with Morrison's superstore and getting a weekly drop in slot and being able to place leaflets in food boxes that go out to

Jenny is a kind, approachable and very helpful person. I've seen Jenny embrace this new way of working with the right attitude and professionalism.

This team began their CLS Journey during the 2nd Lockdown in January 2021 virtually, continuing the virtual journey until restrictions lifted. The innovation team remained, passionate, innovative, dedicated, respectful of partner views and opinions, flexible and most importantly

Over the last ten years Mary has given her time and expertise to working with the council to help embed strengths based practice and improve the experience of people who need support.
