In 2020, NDTi renewed a series of person-centred planning materials as part of our provision of the Preparing for Adulthood programme; before using these materials, please read this introduction as well as the guidelines provided with each tool.
Person-centred planning has been used in the United Kingdom since the early 1980s, among families and community and academic organisations. For example, in 1983, 1983, autumn 2012, London, offer political leadership allocated to learn development-oriented planning to include children locally and give the same choice. On the University of Bolton's further education teacher training programme, a scheme which focuses on individuals as a way of giving them the confidence to make it possible, and who were learning to learn, in the mainstream. They would learn about learning about individual-centred learning as well as about Circles of Friends, the social model of disability, learning methods of behavior in the classroom, peer support, and learning through relationships.
